Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Pemetaan Fishing Ground Berbasis Web di Desa Bongo

So far, the determination of fishing locations has largely depended on fishermen’s experience, memory, and information shared among fishermen, resulting in poorly documented location data. The main problem underlying this study is the absence of digital media that can assist fishermen in recording, storing, and displaying fishing locations in a structured manner. This study aims to develop a web-based fishing ground mapping information system in Bongo Village using a system development approach, which consists of problem identification, data collection, needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The developed system includes several main features, namely user login, location input, map display, location history, temperature and depth information, and graphical visualization as supporting information. System testing was conducted using black box and white box methods. The testing results show that the basic system functions, such as login, location display, and logout, worked according to the design. This system can serve as an initial digital medium to support the documentation and visualization of fishing ground locations. However, further development is still needed, particularly in field coordinate validation, oceanographic data integration, and user testing.
